Someone told you to "just open Terminal and run this"? YourGeeky does it with you. Say what you need in your own words. It explains each step and asks before changing anything.
Works with Claude Code, the AI assistant from Anthropic. YourGeeky sets it up for you and makes it beginner friendly.
To install, open the Terminal app on your Mac, paste this line, and press Return:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sbattelle-coder/YourGeeky/main/install.sh | bash
› install Python
You want Python on your Mac. Here's my plan:
1. Check whether you already have it
2. Install it with Homebrew
3. Make sure it starts
Your Mac will ask for your password. Nothing shows while you type. That's normal.
Okay to go ahead? yes
Done. Python 3.13 is installed. Type python3 to start it.
"Install Python." "What does this error mean?" "Run these steps from the guide." No special words needed.
YourGeeky says back what it heard and lists the steps in plain words before it does anything.
Claude Code does the work behind the scenes, then YourGeeky checks that it worked.
Python, Node, Git, and the other tools people ask you to get.
Paste them in. It explains each line, then runs them with you.
It tells you what went wrong and how to fix it.
It works out why and fixes it so it stays fixed.
Homebrew and Apple's developer tools, with the pop-ups explained.
It finds the safe fix and warns you before any password prompt.
"Where am I?" "Open my Downloads." It tells you in plain words.
Frozen screen or something that won't stop? It gets you out.
Got a GitHub link? It downloads it, sets it up, and starts it.
It shows what's installed and cleans up what you don't need.
yourgeeky --show-commands to see the real commands too.No. If you can type a sentence, you can use YourGeeky.
A Mac and a Claude account. YourGeeky works with Claude Code, the AI assistant from Anthropic, to do its work. If you don't have Claude Code yet, YourGeeky offers to install it the first time you start.
Claude Code is built for programmers. YourGeeky gives it plain-English instructions, safety rules, and step-by-step explanations made for people who have never used the Terminal.
Open Terminal, type yourgeeky, and press Return. To leave, type /exit.
Not yet. The first version is for Mac.
It asks before anything that changes your computer, and you can always say no. Nothing happens without your yes.
